When signing a flexible contract, there is no requirement to initially purchase any projected usage, due to this, consumers can choose to purchase when a logical / opportunistic time arises. In addition, this can be done in tranches (known as hedges), opposed to purchasing all of the projected volume at a single time.
The benefits being:
- A budget can be placed, In which the responsible party can aim to outperform.
- The consumer will be included in the decision-making process.
- A more dynamic strategy can be created bespoke to independent requirements
- If markets reduce, the client could optimise their position.
